Profile

Artist Statement

Clockwise Theatre, a professional not-for-profit 501c3 theatre, is committed to promoting a theatrical experience which reaches all members of the community, creating opportunities for local and area artists to hone their craft, and providing young people appropriate entertainment, work experience, leadership development and mentoring. Producing plays with an emphasis on Midwestern, women, and multi-cultural playwrights, Clockwise offers welcoming canvas on which to work, mobilizing the energy of the young, wisdom of the old, vision of the artist, and the rich cultures woven throughout Waukegan and the Midwest. Vigorous attention is paid to reaching out to the non-traditional theatre-goer, including bilingual marketing materials, low ticket prices, innovative and multi-cultural programming.

Profile

Artist Statement

Our theatre is our home and family. We’re building a place of
acceptance by welcoming artists and audiences to share their stories,
to explore our inner and outer selves and culture. Our only goal is
to grow our family one member at a time and produce the finest theatre
we possibly can. Three brothers is devoted to three concepts: brash,
brave, and bare. Brash artists, brave words, and bare performance.
